In the New York Times lead article of the business section last weekend, I read this...
"Life in the media and communications terrarium, it seems, is getting increasingly perilous. The predictions of demise are piling up. Wired Magazine proclaimed last week “The Web is Dead.”
The web is dead*&!? What about Twitter, Facebook, Gowalla and countless other social networking sites of all sizes and stripes? Newspapers dominated for years, then movies and radio, then TV, but all stayed at the top of the hill for many years for bowing out to a new master.
The author went on to sum up with this conclusion: "So the evolutionary engine runs faster than ever before, opening the door to new and often unforeseen possibilities." Now even change is...changing? Besides death and taxes, what are the inevitable things in life in America today? How can we stay up with the pace of change? How can we master a technique when it is only around for a short period of time? How many 5-hour energy drinks do we have to ingest in order to keep up?
