So it turns out (I guess I never knew this) that the original Qwerty keyboard set-up was created in order to reduce typebar jams in the year 1874. And despite the fact that the technology had shifted within a couple of decades that reduced or eliminated typebar jams, and further complicated by the reality that few people have used a typewriter in the last 25 years, we are STILL primarily using the Qwerty designed keyboard. (Apparently, however, this may change in the near future!)So despite the fact that change is changing at an ever-increasing rate, some things still remain the same, as the lumbering figure of 'how we've always done things' finally turns around and heads in a new direction.
What 'Qwerty' keyboards are in your creative life or business today? What things that you usually do need to be rethought, redesigned or just discarded? What are you still doing, 'qwerty-style' that needs to be cast off so that your business or creative project can truly get to that next level?
